How to install Windows 10 (version 1909) now

Functional update to Windows 10, version 1909 is being prepared for release – Microsoft considers Build 18363.418 to be the final (final) build of the November 2019 Update. Insiders on the Release Preview channel have already had the opportunity to install a new version with all the improvements.

Upgrading features to Windows 10, version 1909 will be the most compact in size and fastest updating features of Windows 10 of all time. It is more reminiscent of the classic Windows Service Pack. How to install Windows 10, version 1909

At the moment, the only official way to install “Upgrading to Windows 10, version 1909” is to register with the Windows 10 Insider Program. All new features are now available to insiders on the Release Preview update channels.




Further you can go in two ways:

Option 1

In installed Windows 10, go to Settings > Update and Security > Windows Insider and set the type of pre-builds – Release Preview using your Microsoft account.

Restart your computer and in the Windows Insider Program menu, verify that the specified type of preassemblies has been installed correctly.
Check and install the latest updates in Windows Update. After that, in the “Optional updates available” section, “Upgrading to Windows 10, Version 1909” will appear.

Click “Download and Install Now” to install the new version of Windows 10. After downloading and installing the update, you will need to restart your computer.

After the official release of Windows 10 (version 1909) for all users, you can stop receiving Insider Preview builds and cancel your Microsoft account. In the future, all updates will be installed as for a stable version of the system.

Option 2

Download the official Windows 10 19H2 ISO image.
Make a clean installation of the system, log in to your Microsoft account.
In the menu Settings > Update and Security > Windows Insider Program, set the type of preliminary assemblies – Release Preview Program.
Restart your computer and in the Windows Insider Program menu, verify that the specified type of preassemblies has been installed correctly.
Install the latest updates through Windows Update to the latest build KB4517389 (Build 18363.418).
After the official release of Windows 10 (version 1909) for all users, you can stop receiving Insider Preview builds and cancel your Microsoft account. In the future, all updates will be installed as for a stable version of the system.
